I was flipping through the radio channels while driving to work this morning, catching bits and pieces of different songs, traffic & weather reports and news updates. The common thing I heard in the news updates today was the fact that Ashton Kutcher had won.
 
What did he win, you might ask? It wasn't a Grammy, Emmy or an Oscar - but something a little more edgy and philanthropic.
 
Ashton Kutcher beat CNN in the quest for 1,000,000 followers on the ever-growing microblogging site, Twitter.
 
According to a CNN article about this topic, Ashton had challenged CNN to see who could reach the million mark first. Apparently the challenge was accepted by CNN, and the winner "would donate 10,000 mosquito bed nets to charity for World Malaria Day in late April," while the loser would donate 1,000. CNN agreed to the terms and the battle was on.
 
Apparently early Friday morning, Ashton Kutcher's twitter account reached the one millionth follower, follwed a half hour later by CNN doing so.
