Super Bowl XLIII Commercials - Best and Worst
I have listed out a few notes on the Super Bowl commercials in a previous entry, and now will go into a little more detail with my thoughts on this year's field of entries.
In general, I was disappointed in many of the commercials that made it into the Super Bowl space. There were a few shining moments during all of the movie previews, network and cable tv plugs and the like, but they were few and far between.
I did enjoy both Doritos commercials and thought they represented the brand well. Similar to last year, comical yet a bit spicy seemed to get the job done for them. I can definitely see why their ad was selected as the #1 spot.
Crystal Ball:
Power of the Crunch:
There were a few others I enjoyed including the Budlight Drinkability snow skiing ad as well as the Bud Lime snow globe one.
I was really disappointed in the Budweiser commercials this year. Many people at the Super Bowl party I attended stated that the commercials have gone downhill since InBev came into the picture.
Budwesier Generations:
I also think GoDaddy has played out only having a woman with big boobs come into the picture. Both featuring Danica Patrick were nice on the eyes, but they only tried to go for the shock factor of horny guys visiting their site after seeing it.
I did enjoy many of the ads throughout the Super Bowl, but hopefully next year they will at least match the excitement of the game!
